Top Mistake People Make in documents Attestation:
Below are some of the top mistakes people make in document attestation in Pakistan.
Ø INCORRECT DOCUMENTS:
One of the mistakes that people generally make with the attestation of documents is that they submit incorrect documents. The documents, once submitted, remain in the record of the embassy or ministry. Before you submit the documents for attestation, make sure that the documents are not incorrect. Ø INCOMPLETE DOCUMENTS:
For the attestation of documents, you have to submit complete documents. Incomplete documents are subject to rejection. Before you face any objection from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan or from the embassy or consulate where you are submitting the documents, you have to make sure that the documents are complete.
Ø NO PHOTOCOPIES ATTACHED:
Whenever you visit the embassy for the attestation of documents, you have to make sure that you have attached the photocopies of all the documents. If you do not attach the photocopies with the documents, they can reject your attestation. Moreover, most of the embassies in Pakistan are at the zero point where you enter after submitting your mobile phones at the main gate. If you have any soft copies on your mobile, then you’d better get a print first and then enter the zero point; otherwise, you have to walk for at least one or two hours to get your mobile print.
Ø PAYMENT CURRENCY MODE:
Some of the embassies accept Pakistani rupees, some of them accept dollars, and some accept their own currency. Before you visit the embassy, make sure what currency they accept for attestation. If they ask you to bring dollars or foreign currency, then make sure you obtain new currency notes, and the embassy doesn’t accept old currency notes or any notes with any stamp or something written on them.
Ø TRANSLATIONS:
Some of the embassies require translations of each document that you submit for attestation. If you want to attest any document from any embassy or consulate, then it is better to first confirm if they need the translation of such a document or not. If they need the translation, then you have to get the translation of each document that you wish to submit for attestation.
Ø CONTACT INFORMATION:
When you visit the embassy or consulate to submit the documents for attestation, they generally don’t give them back the same day. They will ask you for your contact information. Always give exact contact information, as when the documents are ready, they will call you on the given number or email ID. If the email ID or the contact information is wrong, then you won’t know when to pick up your documents after attestation.
Ø APPOINTMENTS:
Most of the embassies in Pakistan don’t do walk-in attestations. Before you visit the embassy, they won’t allow you in unless you have the appointment to visit the embassy. You have to visit at the proper time and date given to you.
